I began my career as a Mechanical Engineer, but I soon realized that this is not what I wanted to pursue. After looking into Electrical Engineering I found that I would much prefer to be an Electrical Engineer for these reasons.

  1. Electrical Engineers solve problems, surely all engineers solve problems, yet Electrical Engineers have a large range of problems and new developments that is always progressing.
  2. Electrical Engineering is the future: All engineering disciplines are needed to make the world run smoothly and efficiently according to desire. Electrical Engineers have a very special niche where they can work on power systems that have been around for a long time, or choose to design new systems. Electrical engineers do what I think is needed in society, they preserve what is good and work to make things better.
    • Controls: I am specifically very intrigued by the idea of controls, how someone can set a system out on its own and it will work as designed for a specific task according to how the engineer has set the system.

Planned Course Work:

Electrical Machines, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Modern Controls
